How Fun on the Gulf operates
At Fun on the Gulf, we keep things simple, flexible, and full of fun! We rent out unique, personal-sized pontoons that we call minitoons.  Our mintoons allow you to navigate the rivers and Gulf waters at your own pace. Whether you seek a fishing adventure, relaxing cruise or a fun-filled outing, our rentals provide the perfect escape into nature.Â
Here’s how we work:
We’re Mobile! We bring the minitoons to various local launch spots across Wakulla County and surrounding areas.
Pick Your Spot. When booking, you’ll choose from our available locations (prices may vary slightly depending on the spot).
Choose Your Time. Rentals typically start at 4-hour blocks, message us at bookwithus@havefunonthegulf.com for inquiries of longer sessions or events.
Easy for Two. Each minitoon comfortably fits 2 adults (a small child can fit too, but there are only 2 seats). There is a strict 500lb weight limit, which includes everyone aboard as well as the gear you bring.
Powered by Trolling Motors. Easy to steer and totally peaceful. Like kayaking, but without paddling and fighting the current! If you don't know how to use one, we will teach you and you will be on your way in 5 minutes.
Show Up and Ride. We meet you at the launch site, get you set up, and you're ready to go! No trailering or towing needed.
We handle the setup and breakdown. All you need to do is show up and enjoy the Gulf the way it was meant to be experienced: easy, breezy, and unforgettable.
Must be 18 or older to rent and operate. No boater’s license needed. Just bring your ID.

A minitoon is our take on a personal sized mini pontoon.
Yes! 500lbs is the maximum capacity a minitoon can safely carry.
We operate on a mobile basis and are located in Wakulla. We are able to travel to nearby counties to provide service at various river locations, as long as there is adequate space for parking our trailer and conducting operations efficiently.
2 seats are permanently affixed to each minitoon as well as a cushion on the deck, perfect for a smaller child.
You can bring anything you want to enjoy your day on the water so long as everything is under the 500lb capacity!
Of course! We do offer a fishing package that includes an anchor and up to 3 rod holders.

If the water is wet, there will be gators. Don’t entice or feed any wildlife whatsoever and you’ll have a great time! Respect the wildlife and enjoy the natural beauty, they’re part of what makes your adventure memorable.
No. It’s illegal to touch or disturb manatees. Enjoy watching from a distance and do not feed any wildlife.
